Convert ESC printer data to Tiff
directESC provides easy and fast the conversion of several
ESC printer languages to multipaged Tiff. Moreover the used fonts, codepages
and further emulation parameters can be determined.
directESC is available as 32-bit Shell application for the
operating systems Microsoft Windows NT4.0, Windows 2000, Windows
XP and Windows 2003-Server.
Print ESC printer data
Transparently to the ESC to Tiff conversion, the ESC printer
data can be send to any Windows printer. This can be performed in RAW or GDI -
mode. In RAW-mode, the ESC printer data is just copied to the printer providing
better performance if the target printer supports the format.
Using GDI-mode, the printout can be performed on any
available Windows printer. This supports even Postscript and PCL printers as
well as Network and USB devices. Using this feature together with a picked
printer driver, numerous further output formats as PDF, Postscript or PCL are
possible.
Redirecting MS-DOS printers
Redirections of Windows printers can be performed by
directTOOLS directMON 3. It appears as
a virtual printer port (similar to LPT1: or COM1:) and intercepts all printed
data. This works also together with older MS-DOS programs. directMON NT sends
this data now to directESC and the conversion to the target printer or/and to a
Tiff can be performed.

Save and print - Document
Archives
directESC supports simultaneous saving and printing. ESC
print data can be saved to a Tiff file and printed to an arbitrary Windows
printer with identical layouts. This can be integrated in most cases very
easily into already existing document mangement systems - please ask.
